Mark-Antony Richard is consider one of the most explosive 2019 athletes in the country by many media sources. Richards has 10 plus offers and they will not stop coming in anytime soon. After watching his film you can tell that he is a physical football player, with a good football IQ, and a natural play maker. I had the chance to sit down and talk with Mr. Richards who has a very bright future ahead of him.
“One thing I would love to improve on this upcoming season would be my Speed and Route running. My fastest time I’ve clocked was a 4.46 times at UF and that’s something I’d like to get lower. Hopefully I can reach a 4.3. I’m doing track to also get my speed up.” Said Mark who is already a speedster but is not satisfied. 4.46 is already impressive, but 4.3 in high school we could soon be calling him the Nike Opening fastest man. Stay tuned this camp season to see how he progresses.
“One thing I believe that helps me stand out is my constant work ethic. Not many kids are willing to do a 6:00am workout/lift and have track at 3:15pm and later go to team workouts at 4:30pm. Really he little things will help make a difference and I can thank my coach for that.” Though Richard’s is a big time athlete and well known around the country he doesn’t get big headed. He still grinds like he has nothing; that will take him far. He also runs track which is a plus.
“Schools have been showing interest at Running Back and CB and also WR & Safety. But really I feel like I’m an Offensive ATH. I’ve chosen to play Running back in college. The school that allows me to be an Offensive ATH and provides me with the best chance at success on and off the field will get me to commit. And I plan on doing that sometime next year around November time maybe.” Mr. Richards has given college coaches a hint. At the end of the day where ever this young man decides to go he will be able to come in and compete right away. He has a natural drive and loves to compete. He is a play maker and it shows on film. I will most defiantly be keeping an eye out on Mark this spring as he dominates camps and goes through the recruiting process.
