Jamari Brown was at the top of my list this past spring as one of the biggest sleepers in the peach state. Once the word got out about who Jamari Brown was and how explosive he was on the field as well as how productive he was in the classroom, he received multiple FBS and FCS offers. On August.6th, Jamari made the decision to go back home and play at Florida A&M.
“I feel that this program at FAMU gives me hope on all levels, both on and off the field. It gives me that feeling that when I leave FAMU, I’ll leave as a better player, a better student, and just a better man.” he said.
Of course the biggest goal is to go to school for free and have the opportunity to play the game you love. Now that the decision is done and he has made everyone proud, Brown still has unfinished business.
“This fall you can expect a more explosive player than last year” Jamari said, which is very impressive since he ended last season with five interceptions, 6 pass break ups, and 23 catches for about 300 yards. “You will see me all across the field and see me impacting the game much more”
Eastside High School went 8-3 last season, as well as getting second place in the region behind Woodward Academy. Eastside plans on getting that first place spot this year. “I’m looking forward to the Woodward game. They are region champs and I’m trying to de-throne them. Enough Said” He said, confidently. We will keep an eye on the Florida A&M commit and hope to see him do more big things this season.
